Mastering Debating (all ages)
Thinking about stakeholders is a great way to generate arguments in a debate. A stakeholder is someone who is involved or affected by the motion.
Take a look at the video below about the motion “This House would ban advertising aimed at children.”
First, see how many stakeholders you can write down for the motion. Then rank them in order of importance for the motion. The stakeholder who is the most affected will be at the top of the list, whilst the stakeholder least affected will be at the bottom.
Challenge: Have a go at writing a PEEL speech about why your chosen stakeholder is the most important.
